Snakes and Ladders

Snakes and Ladders is my favourite board game. I love how it represents the opportunities and pitfalls of life.

However, on reflection I can now see that I have often chosen to go down the snake. I might take a few steps forward, go up a ladder or two, and then I opt to go down a snake. And I’m left shaking my head wondering why I don’t ever make any progress in this game.
